Pig Snout

In Israel it is illegal to grow pigs (unless you have really special government permit). Seeing a pig in reality is so rare for me, I just had to take a photo. http://ift.tt/2iRfPLl

Hanging them to dry

At the farm I could take a look of the ham drying process, fascinating. http://ift.tt/2hAd386

Zero

Being an Israeli from Tel-Aviv area, I don't know how to handle such cold temperatures. Last week we have visited my wife's family in Serbia, and it was really cold. I had to take a shot of the thermometer to show back home in Israel :) http://ift.tt/2iRfqIV

My one year old niece celebrated her 1st birthday, and we had a beautiful smash cake session. Her parents and I enjoyed it very much, and it seems she had an even better time :) http://ift.tt/2i5iht0

Mason and Wall

'Mason and Wall' by Udi Tam on 500px.com
This week (November ~20) we are constructing the walls of the ground floor. The walls are made of Pumice and provide excellent insulation and strength. This man is a master mason capable of constructing precise, straight walls in a matter of minutes.

This photo was taken using my 50mm/f1.4 Nikkor lens, at 1.4f.

Hang them to dry

Hang them to dry by Udi Tam on 500px.com

The mango tree at my parents' garden started to drop its leaves.
The leaves are drying and their attachment to the branch weakens.

In this photo, it seems as if the leaves were intentionally hung there to dry, as if my a mother nature itself hanging the we laundry.

This photo was taken using my 70-300 Sigma lens, that provides decent macro capability.

Sleeping Snails

Sleeping Snails by Udi Tam on 500px.com

While looking for interesting macro opportunities, I came across this group of snails sleeping. Separated two from the rest of the group, and there's a lovely shot.

Eaters from above

While riding the mall escalators, I happened to cone upon this beautiful view of the cafe below. http://ift.tt/2f372R1

Last Friday, wife baby and I went shopping in the Grand Mall in Petah Tikva (Here in Israel).
While descending using the escalators, I saw the cafe just below, and the view looked spectacular, I knew I had a shot there.

Told my wife to be patient, I took the escalators up again, and since I didn't have my D750 with me, I had to take the shot using my phone (Google Nexus 5).

Out of 5 or 6 shots, I happened to finally shoot the one I like...

Minor post processing using Snapseed (Noir effect) and upload to 500px.

I like the end result, please comment if you have any remarks.

Young chicks playing

A playful group of chicks. http://500px.com/photo/182154353

This photo was taken in the 'Safari' Zoo in Ramat-Gan, Israel.

These chicks roam freely throughout the zoo parks, among some other birds like peacocks, geese and ducks.

This photo was shot from above, and it look like all the chicks are running away from the beautiful one in the center of the image. I wonder why are they running, maybe they're playing catch or Hide-and-Seek.

The photo was taken using Nikon D50 and a 70-300 Sigma lens.

Touching 1st pillar of our new house

Very excited to rest my hand on concrete pillar of our long awaited new house. The chemical reaction between the cement and the water generates heat radiating from the pillar. Amazing and emotional feeling... http://ift.tt/2fQtT7c

Baby girl planning her day

Baby girl staring in the morning by Udi Tam on 500px.com

Our 7 months old baby girl on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning (Sabbath).

No kindergarten today, and she can get to play all day with mommy and daddy. In this photo she is planning the adventures she is going to have later on today.

I have taken the shot in full natural morning light without any additions, while in post processing I have tweaked the white balancing, contrast and sharpening.

The lens is my favorite 50mm 1.4G Nikkor and in post processing I was strengthening the contrast a little, and added a zest of sharpness.

Enjoy and Shabbat Shalom from Israel.

Vase of garden roses

Pink and red roses picked from our garden, spread their scents all over our living room http://ift.tt/2fOP60i

Every Friday, in preparation for the Shabbas (Shabbat), we arrange a beautiful vase to decorate our dinner table.

We are twice as happy when we can use flowers from our own garden, and so was the vase in this photo.

I have taken the shot from above, full natural light without any additions, and some falling dried petals can already be seen on the coffee table.

The lens is my favorite 50mm 1.4G Nikkor and in post processing I was strengthening the contrast a little, and added a zest of sharpness.

Enjoy and Shabbat Shalom from Israel.

Nice purple blossom

Nice blossom on a beautiful tree http://ift.tt/2fsoI8z

Traveling to the northern part of Israel, we stopped for refreshments in the famous Alonim junction and inn.

Beautiful place, full of delicious regional delights, surrounded by pastoral fields, this place is highly recommended to whoever is traveling from Tel-Aviv to the Galilee area.

This tree (which I still have to find the name of) caught my eye immediately, with its beautiful blossom.

Building a new home !

On august 2016 we have started constructing our new home. The progress of construction is photographed, in order to create a journal, or diary of some sort.

While shooting the photos, I'm trying to make them as artistic, appealing and interesting as possible.

The iron used to form the concrete
Iron poles on the concrete floor
In Israel, all houses are required to have one room as shelter, made of  concrete and not the usual building blocks.
The photo above shows the iron "Thorns" that will hold the future concrete wall of tha above mentioned shelter.

The shelter is actually used as a normal bedroom (approx 3 x 3.5 meters in space).

As an amateur photographer, I am trying to find out means of spreading my photos and ideas as much as possible.

These two photos were taken using a 70-300 Sigma lens with macro ability.
